If you require assistance for daily living or are a caregiver, there are additional preparations required in case of a disaster. Julie Jeakle, the emergency services coordinator for San Diego County, will be lecturing on this topic on Friday, March 17, at 1 p.m. at Alvarado Hospital.

The free lecture includes a disaster preparedness plan, which includes a caregivers’ booklet, evacuation checklist, and preparedness tips. The lecture will be held in the first-floor conference room of Alvarado Hospital’s West Tower, 6645 Alvarado Road, San Diego 92120. Free parking is available in the hospital’s parking structure and there is a metro stop across the street from the hospital on the green line.
