Alvarado Hospital’s new Gero-Psychiatic Unit provides cognitive, emotional and behavioral care in a secure 24-hour-a-day inpatient setting to address both medical and mental health needs of senior citizens.
Our Senior Care Specialty Services program provides a much-needed behavioral-health safety net for the San Diego community. This unit is designed to meet the specific needs of older adults with medical problems combined with mental health issues unique to this population.
