Welcome Gift

Priority Parking

Advantage Club members receive a rear-view mirror hang-tag that allows you easy-access hospital parking spaces on the first and second floors of the parking garage.

Prescription Discount

Alvarado Medical Plaza Pharmacy, located at 5555 Reservoir Dr. (across the street from the hospital) offers 10% discount on most prescriptions with Advantage Club membership card (show to cashier at checkout). Educational Seminars and E-Newsletter

Club members receive first notice of upcoming seminars covering a wide variety of healthy aging and healthy living topics. If you are interested in specific topics, let us know! If you do not want to join the Advantage Club, but would like to receive the newsletter. Please e-mail us.

Hospital Stay

When Alvarado Advantage Club members are hospitalized, you receive:

VIP parking with easy access to hospital

Dining Discounts

Members enjoy 10% of all menu items at Cafe Alvarado (excludes grocery items). The cafe offers Mediterranean and American favorites. The cafe is open from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and closed on Sunday. Please show Advantage Club at checkout. The cafe is located at 6635 Alvarado Road, San Diego. Alvarado Hospital also offers an onsite dining room staffed by a chef. Menu includes made-to-order flatbread pizzas and sandwiches, plus hot items and chef’s table. See sample menu. Members always enjoy 10% off in the Alvarado Cafe with club card.

Gift Shop Discount

Alvarado Hospital offers both an online and physical gift shop. Advantage Club members receive a 15% discount for the online gift shop by entering ALV15 code at checkout (with the exception of Edible Arrangements). Most items ordered are delivered the same day if ordered before noon. For online gift shop assistance, call 877-887-3200.

The onsite gift shop offers Advantage Club members 10% discount with your membership card (some items not available for discount). To contact the onsite gift shop, call 619-229-5601.

Yoga and Zumba Classes

We offer free yoga and Zumba classes in the hospital conference room – open to Advantage Club members. Yoga is held on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. (bring mat/towel). Zumba is offered on Thursdays at 5 p.m. (bring towel). Free parking in hospital parking garage. Call 619-287-3270 the day of the class to ensure class has not been canceled or moved to different location.

Insurance Assistance

Alvarado Hospital financial counselors are available to answer member questions about hospital fees, Medicare and insurance filings. We will also provide you with individualized assistance in signing up for Covered California insurance if you are eligible. Call 619-229-3050 during business hours for insurance assistance.
