Alvarado Cafe

We serve tasty and healthy cuisine seven days a week at affordable prices in the Alvarado Cafe! The menu changes weekly, but sample entrees include rolled quesadilla with pulled chicken; risotto bar with chicken, sausage, or shrimp; turkey, avocado, and grilled cheese sandwich; roasted tomato, chicken, and mushroom soup; grilled capri sandwich; chicken, carne and fish taqueria; crispy tofu stir fry; and quinoa and black bean-stuffed peppers.

The cafe is located on the first floor of the main hospital and is open during the following hours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner:

Monday-Friday: 6:45 a.m.-7 p.m. (closed from 9:30-10 a.m.)
Saturday-Sunday: 7 a.m.-1:45 p.m. (closed from 10-11 a.m.)

Patient Meals

Each patient meal is prepared under the direction of our restaurant-trained chef and is individualized based on the doctor’s orders. You may make selections daily. The menu will include items with only the finest, freshest ingredients. Each request is cross-referenced with doctors’ orders to ensure our patient’s health and safety. In addition, the Alvarado Cafe and vending machines are located on the first floor of the main hospital. To call Food Service, dial 619-229-3111.
