Alvarado Hospital welcomes Sandra Beasley, MHA, BSN, RN, as its new Chief Nursing Officer. Sandra started her role as the new CNO on August 8, taking over from Interim CNO David Cooke, who was installed after former CNO, Sacha Ridgway, left earlier this year. Sandra has over 20 years of management experience in a varied range of nursing disciplines: critical care, cardiology, emergency medicine, behavioral health, and surgery. Her most recent position was as the interim CNO for Sutter Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California, and before that she served as the interim assistant CNO at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
Sandra started her journey in nursing by obtaining her RN in 1997, her BSN in 2004, and earning her Masters of Science in Healthcare Management in 2019. She holds current certifications in critical care, trauma care, and basic and advanced life support. She is an active member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Emergency Nurses Association. The team at Alvarado Hospital is looking forward to having Sandra join us, and we are sure to benefit from the breadth of her experience and knowledge.
Alvarado Hospital would also like to extend our gratitude to David Cooke, the departing interim CNO. David’s sure and innovative leadership has resulted in improved communication and cooperation within the hospital, helping to steady the waters during this transition of senior leadership. Although he greatly enjoyed his time spent with the Alvarado team, he is happy to return to his role at Prime Healthcare as the director of Emergency Services.
